IAIN DOWIE has been given a one match touchline ban following comments made to a referee.

DOWIE was sent to the stands during the away match against Reading last month.

During the match, which Palace lost 3-2, he was furious with the referee for allowing Reading to re-take a penalty, and made his feelings known to the match officials, which resulted in him being sent off.

DOWIE has also been fined £3,000.
